Gateway's Discovery Museum

Preface: I'm a little brain dead and forgot to post this event in our life and getting these pictures on my blog. I'm mainly doing this for journaling purposes. So enjoy anyways...

We went to the Gateway's Discovery Museum for Children a few weeks ago with Kerry's sister's family. The kids had a great time that day with their cousins and experiencing all the museum had to offer. The picture was from our break to get ice cream. My sister in-law, Jen took all these photos this time. I didn't want to carry around my big camera bag. If you click on the picture you can enlarge it to see the colored details that my sister in-law, Jen put on the photo. She did such a great job on it. Ice cream smiles are courtesy of the Ben & Jerry's ice cream store.

There were some huge chimes to play.

Some hands on construction. Looks like a difficult load...

There were some water games with turning wheels and pipes.

Kason had fun on the climbing wall.

On the top floor of the museum they had the Sesame Street hands-on exhibit. It was actually a very cute exhibit that youngers kids enjoyed. Even I got a little involved. This was the Elmo's World part of the exhibit wear you can teach your kids how to tie Elmo's big red shoes.

I couldn't believe how much the Gateway shopping center had changed over the years. We haven't been there since the winter Olympics were in Salt Lake City. It has turned into a major shopping mecca since then. And it was a good thing I wasn't there to spend money or we seriously would have been in trouble. I think it would be fun to go back sometime and just sit and watch the people that walk by. We were shocked to see the different lifestyles that people have these days. I didn't think that the old 80's punk was still around. Or the young teenagers dressed in their "emo" style. Or even the high class, ritzy people we don't see very often where we live...very entertaining!

A big thank you again to Jen and her family for their hospitality that weekend. It was fun to reacqauint ourselves with her cute family. And the kids gained a new love for their cousins we don't see very often. Because we live so far away they don't get a chance to do things with their Northern cousins. But we will look forward to seeing them again the future to make new memories.

I love the icecream picture. That looks so professional. Are you getting that one framed?
