As I mentioned in the birthday post, Kerry went fishing with the kids and his Dad this past Saturday. They all got up at 4:00 am and headed North to the lake. These pictures are not the best quality since they were taken from Kaylee's cell phone and sent to my cell phone. I then forwarded them to my email address and then saved them on our computer. Pretty cool, ey?This was his Dad's fishing debut since his decision to retire from work over a month ago. As you can see from the picture, they caught some real winners. This one is a 20" rainbow trout. Unfortunately, the fishing law at the time required all fishermen to release any fish caught that were under 22". So even though they had caught some pretty good sized fish, they had to throw them back into the lake.
Kason even had some pretty good luck with his 16" rainbow trout he caught. He caught the fish using a lure and after several minutes of waiting (which to him is a million years) and lots of complaints that he was bored, something started to tug on his line. Well that perked him right up! He knew this one had to have been a big one because he had to "rest his pole on his hip" to help him reel that bad boy in.Kerry got a huge kick out of that. He said he wished he had a video camera for that one. He was feeling all grown up and pretty proud during that moment. What a stud! Way to go Kason! You've got the two best fishing coaches in the world to help you progress in your fishing adventures. And good luck to Moe in your retirement...may you have many more fishing excursions!

Looks like they all had a fun time. Did you know there is a fishing belt loop and pin for scouts? I'll email it to you later so you can see the qualifications. My guess is that it will be an easy one for Kason to earn.
Kason has grown up so much since we first moved into the ward. We still laugh about the funny things he says. My favorite is when he gladulated.
My husband can't wait to take our girls fishing! They look like they had such a good time! Good Job Kason.
So I have to put my two cents in, just let Jaynee suck her thumb. She is too cute to make her stop................:)
Julie, sorry we didn't get to see you this weekend. Our trip was a quicky. It was great to see Kerry and Kason, though. Kerry said you ran 7 miles on Saturday! You're rockin the roads these days. Way to go!
