We started out our day at our church building for our annual ward breakfast. Doesn't this look yummy? Eggs...hashbrowns....a huge pile of greasy bacon and sausage....with a nice cup of orange juice...what a perfect way to start out your day at 7:00 am. Eeeww!
Kason participated in the flag ceremony and directed the color guard this year. He's becoming a pro at it as he's done that a few times for Pack meeting. So far he still loves Scouts and we're happy he wants to be involved.
Here's Jaynee and Danielle...two blondies...one with pretty blues and the other with dazzling greens. So cute!

The kids later had the chance to go swimming the Babcock's swimming pool. Their always so nice to invite most anyone to come swim. We appreciate their invites.

We ended the day with dinner and fireworks at the Babcocks. We had some really tasty brisket, pasta salad, corn on the cob and rolls...with lots of yummy finger foods in between. We haven't had dinner with the Babcocks in a long time and we were so glad to finally be able to get together with them. They're always so hospitable!
The kids got to chase parachute fireworks after dinner. They were so nice to provide one for each of the kids.
We we're having so much fun (really we were) that I was caught taking a little snooze on my friend's couch. I always hear everything when I sleep, so I was surprised to see that she got a picture of me. I must have been really wiped out! Both she and I were running on 4 or 5 hours of sleep that day from our jobs.
Here's the kids enjoying some sparklers at the end of the evening. Their sister-in-law brought over her sno-cone machine for everyone to have sno-cones while we watched the fireworks. The kids thought that was so cool!

That was a fun filled day! Glad you guys could come!
That sounds like such a fun day! No one out here seems to make a big deal of Pioneer Day. It is a shame. It looks like you had enough fun for all of us!
